Scientific and engineering platform for the development
of environmentally sustainable and regulation-compliant construction solutions.
ECOS (Economical Composite Optimized System) is an engineering and technology platform developed in the Czech Republic for the design and industrial validation of next-generation mineral construction materials.
ECOS implementation architecture:

Platform segments:
4Bricks is the applied product direction implementing the hyper-pressed segment within the ECOS platform.
The platform focuses on reducing clinker dependency (≤4% cement or alternative activated systems), integrating secondary mineral raw materials, ensuring industrial reproducibility, and lowering the carbon intensity of construction materials within the EU regulatory framework.
ECOS operates within the European regulatory environment (ČSN, CPR, ESPR), combining regulatory compliance, industrial reproducibility and carbon efficiency in practical applications.
Formulations and key technological parameters are protected. Partners receive technical specifications and validated test results within professional cooperation.
ECOS evolves within the European regulatory framework in alignment with decarbonization targets and circular economy principles.
The first products introduced to the market under the ECOS system are dry construction mixes for masonry, plastering, and repair applications.
These materials are currently undergoing regulatory validation and certification in accordance with EU requirements and are intended for practical use in construction projects across the Czech Republic and the European Union.
Note: Hyper-pressed products and other ECOS-based material formats are progressing through subsequent engineering and production development stages.
The ECOS technological platform is protected by a registered utility model.
The granted patent confirms the novelty and applied nature of the engineering solutions in the field of construction mixes and mineral composites with a minimal cement content.
Compositions and formulas are not disclosed. The patent establishes priority and legally confirms the protected status of the ECOS technology.
The product is undergoing national certification in the Czech Republic in accordance with Government Regulation No. 163/2002 Sb. as a general construction material.
The hyper-pressed product segment is designed to comply with EN 771-3 (concrete masonry units).
Full documentation package (TDS, DoP, test reports, SDS) is provided upon official request.
ECOS is not a single material and not a product line. It is an engineering system that serves as a foundation for multiple classes of next-generation construction materials.
Different material classes are currently at different stages of development, testing, and regulatory validation.
All official documents are available upon request or as part of cooperation. We provide complete technical, normative, and regulatory files confirming the compliance of ECOS with Czech and EU requirements.
ECOS Dry Mix blends undergo national certification in the Czech Republic in accordance with Regulation No. 163/2002 Sb. as a general-purpose construction material. The product is not subject to mandatory CE marking and is designed with consideration of key requirements of CPR, REACH, and CLP.
Upon completion of the certification process, we will provide the full documentation package: Technický list, Declaration of Performance (DoP), Prohlášení o shodě, SDS, as well as laboratory test reports. EPD — preparation/validation upon request following completion of baseline regulatory validation and confirmation of LCA indicators.
ECOS dry construction mixes are manufactured using precise component dosing and thorough mixing on specialized equipment. The production process is designed with a focus on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency — without high-temperature firing, unlike traditional cement production.
The technology is based on the principles of circular economy, ESG, and low carbon footprint, allowing its use within the framework of new EU regulations — CPR, ESPR, GPP.

Optimal for leveling rough floors, screed bases, and preparatory layers. Free from toxic substances, safe for indoor use, and compliant with REACH.
ECOS materials are being tested in research laboratories to develop new composites and cement alternatives. Relevant for projects under ESPR and ESG initiatives.
Used in 3D printing, prefabricated panels, lightweight blocks, and other modern solutions. ECOS is integrated into sustainable development construction and supported by subsidies from EFEKT III and ENERG Praha.
Mission:
ECOS offers an innovative solution for the construction industry by combining carbon footprint reduction with the principles of the circular economy. The project holds strategic importance for the European Union, society, and the business sector.
Competitive Advantage:
ECOS addresses not only the challenge of CO₂ emissions but also the issue of industrial waste, providing a sustainable and cost-efficient alternative to traditional cement technologies and costly CCS solutions.
The objectives focus on direct CO₂ reduction through material substitution and process optimization.
| Goal | Rationale for the EU and Society |
|---|---|
| –50% Clinker | By 2030, reduce clinker use in construction mixtures by at least 50% across key markets (with an ECOS market share of 15%). |
| 10 Mt of CO₂ in Czechia | Prevent 10 million tons of CO₂ emissions within 10 years by substituting conventional cement-based mixtures. |
| Carbon Accessibility | Achieve an 80% reduction in the carbon footprint without increasing the final cost by more than 5% within the next five years. |
ECOS converts industrial waste into a valuable resource, supporting the environmental priorities of the European Union.
| Goal | Rationale for the EU and Society |
|---|---|
| 50% Secondary Raw Materials | By 2028, ensure that at least 50% of ECOS composition in Europe comes from secondary industrial raw materials such as fly ash, slag, and mineral residues. |
| Zero Coal Energy Waste | Establish a stable channel for full utilization of fly ash within a 500 km radius of ECOS production facilities. |
| EPD Leadership | Become one of the first producers with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) demonstrating Embodied Carbon A1–A3 below 50 kg CO₂ eq/t. |
Fostering SME resilience, affordable housing, and long-term energy stability.
| Goal | Rationale for the EU and Society |
|---|---|
| SME Resilience | Support 1,000 small and medium-sized construction companies across Central Europe in reducing environmental reporting costs through the adoption of ECOS by 2027. |
| Affordable Housing | Reduce material costs by up to 5% for affordable housing projects (masonry and plaster) in the Czech market. |
| Innovative Partnerships | By 2026, form 3–5 strategic partnerships with European energy companies to ensure long-term fly ash supply and reduce dependency on imported clinker. |
ECOS evolves in line with the European Union’s climate and economic priorities, contributing to the transition toward a circular economy and strengthening social sustainability.
